On Closing Out the Final Three Minutes
“I think a big part of the game was the third quarter — the way we came out after halftime and how we adjusted to things we were seeing in the first half. Our ball movement and finding open people were really important. Down the stretch we did a really good job. We had multiple players guarding Maxey, and at the end our best defender in Scottie was on him. He did a great job. We were struggling with rebounding during the game but we did a good job down the stretch.”
On the Ball Movement and Six Players Finishing With 4+ Assists
“It’s keeping the spacing correct and allowing enough space for teammates to make decisions. Playing quickly with the ball — not holding it for three, four, five dribbles. If you can take it to the rim and score, do it. Otherwise, move the ball.”
On Immanuel Quickley Playing Through a Physical Game
“I thought he did a great job controlling the game. His defense was really good in that third quarter. With him and Jamal on the court, JaKobe — they had several really good deflections and steals that fueled us on the offensive end.”
On JaKobe Walter’s Energy and Execution
“It was awesome. His energy was high level. He was really focused. He knew the personnel and knew what he needed to do. He’s so important for us and I’m really glad he had a good game today.”
