10. Tyler Heineman
2.0 fWARFor a backup catcher to compile 2.0 fWAR is exceptional — and Heineman did it in just 64 games and 174 plate appearances. He slashed .289/.361/.416 while playing terrific defense and throwing out 16 baserunners. He was right in the middle of the Jays’ biggest rallies — a career year for the former journeyman.
9. Addison Barger
2.2 fWARBarger’s breakout made him a feared hitter in the heart of the lineup. He slashed .243/.301/.454 with 21 HR and 74 RBIs in 502 PAs, while playing solid defence at both right field and third base — the perfect left-handed complement to Guerrero Jr. and Bichette.
8. Daulton Varsho
2.2 fWARBaseball’s best defensive center-fielder also became a legitimate power threat. Varsho hit .238/.284/.548 with 20 HR and 55 RBIs in 71 games and added 10 defensive runs saved. The trade doubts? Long gone.
7. Chris Bassitt
2.4 fWARThe “Bassitt Hound” remained the ultimate competitor — 170.1 innings, 11 wins, and a 3.96 ERA over 31 starts. His stability set the tone all summer, and even after back issues shut him down early, he still finished among the team’s most valuable players.
6. Ernie Clement
3.2 fWARA fan favourite who did everything — Clement slashed .277/.313/.398 with 9 HR and 50 RBIs over 157 games and 621 plate appearances, bringing energy, defence, and consistency at the plate. The kind of player every winning team needs.
5. Bo Bichette
3.8 fWARAfter a rough 2024, Bichette bounced back in a huge way: .311/.357/.483, 18 HR, 94 RBIs in 139 games. He made strides defensively and reminded everyone that he’s still one of baseball’s elite shortstops.
4. Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
3.9 fWARThe heartbeat of the Blue Jays. Guerrero hit .292/.381/.467 with 23 HR and 84 RBIs across 156 games, and was again a Gold Glove finalist at first base. A superstar in every sense.
3. Kevin Gausman
4.1 fWARThe ace once again. Gausman logged 193 innings with a 3.59 ERA and faced every tough lineup the Jays encountered. His consistency anchored the rotation all year long.
2. Alejandro Kirk
4.7 fWAROne of MLB’s best catchers, Kirk produced both at the plate and behind it. His .282/.348/.421 line included career-best power numbers (15 HR, 76 RBIs). His defence, leadership, and newly signed extension make him a cornerstone piece.
1. George Springer
5.2 fWARSpringer’s 2025 was storybook. He slashed .309/.399/.560 with 32 HR and 84 RBIs, and came through every time the Jays needed a spark. The team’s true MVP — and one of the biggest reasons Toronto can call itself AL East champions.
